Meghalaya Lokayukta invites
Applications in Prescribed Form (Annexure-A) for filling up 1 (one) post of Chairperson in the
Lokayukta Meghalaya on
the following terms and conditions.
Name of Post: Chairperson in the
Lokayukta Meghalaya
No of posts: 1 (One)
Age limit: Should not be less than 45 years of
age as on date of publication of the Advertisement.
Salary: The Salaries and Allowances shall be
as the terms and conditions as specified under Section 7 of the Meghalaya
Lokayukta Act, 2014.
Requisite Qualification for Chairperson in the Lokayukta
Meghalaya
(a) a
person who is or has been a Chief Justice of the High Court, or
(b) a
person who is or has been a Judge of the High Court. or
(c) an
eminent person of impeccable integrity, outstanding ability with special
knowledge and expertise of not less than twenty-five years in matters relating
to anti-corruption policy, public administration, vigilance, finance, insurance
and banking, law, and management.

All
applicants, whether nominated or those applying directly in response to the
Advertisement, must submit their applications in the prescribed proforma
enclosed as Annexure-A. Applications that are not in the prescribed proforma
will be summarily rejected.
Application,
complete in all respects along with latest Passport Size photo and duly signed
by the applicants, must be addressed to the Secretary to the Govt.
of Meghalaya, Home (Political) Department and Convenor of the Search Committee
of Lokayukta, Room No. 403, Meghalaya (C) Secretariat, Additional Building,
Shillong-793001 and
should reach latest by 04:30 PM on 30.06.2021
The envelope
containing the application shall be superscripted “Application for the Post of
Chairperson in the Lokayukta of Meghalaya”.
