released two employment notifications for the recruitment of 345 Assistant
Engineer and Junior Engineer vacancy in Public Heath Engineering
Department (PHED), Government of Assam. Interested and eligible candidates

Assistant Engineer (Civil/ Mechanical/ Electrical / Chemical)
No of posts: 81 posts
Branch-wise vacancy:
Civil: 71 posts
Mechanical: 4 posts
Electrical: 4 posts
Chemical: 2 posts
Scale of pay: Rs 30000/- to Rs 110000/-, Grade Pay Rs 12700/-
Educational Qualification: Candidates must be a BE/ BTech
in respective branch of Engineering from any institute recognised by AICTE.
2. Junior Engineer (Civil/ Mechanical/ Electrical / Chemical)
No of posts: 264 posts
Branch-wise vacancy:
Civil: 212 posts
Mechanical: 26 posts
Electrical: 13 posts
Chemical: 13 posts
Scale of pay: Rs 14000/- to Rs 70000/-, Grade Pay Rs 8700/-
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have 3 years Diploma in
respective branch of Engineering from any institute recognised by AICTE.
Other Criteria of PHED
Recruitment
Age Limit: The candidates should not be
less than 18 years of age and not more than 38 years of age as on
01/01/2023.
Age
Relaxation: The category-wise age relaxation is as
mentioned below.
SC: 5 years
ST: 5 years
OBC/ MOBC: 3 years
PwBD: 10 years

Resident-ship:
(i) The candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam.
(ii) The Candidate must produce PRC issued in Assam for
educational purpose as a proof of residency along with the application form
Or
(iii) The candidate must produce Employment Exchange

application form .
